How to join DMM
Become part of the DMM network
DMM is an open and collaborative initiative. DMM is research-driven: we document and compare how mobility transitions actually unfold—through stories, tensions and trade-offs. We don’t rank cities; we make experiences comparable without reducing them to a single score. We welcome participation from researchers, practitioners, institutions, organisations, and everyday mobility users (including sceptics and non-users).
There are several ways to contribute to DMM:
Join Before Launch DMM Platform
DMM is building international “vanguard panels” (PULSE) to capture the pulse of mobility change over time. We are especially looking for:
- cyclists, pedestrians and motorists (including hesitant motorists; EV and non-EV drivers)
- public transport users
- policy makers and planners
- mobility organisations and transport professionals
- industry representatives
- researchers and students
Panel participation can be light: a short check-in or survey once (or twice) a year.
Use the form to tell us who you are and how you would like to contribute (panel, story, pilot case, partnership).
Share stories and experiences
Through the STORY section of the platform, you can contribute short, citable entries such as:- a case study (including setbacks, controversies, and learning)
- an intervention or policy shift you observed
- a conflict around street space or accessibility
- a practical lesson from implementation
- a “small change” that signals a bigger transition
Collaborate as a partner
Universities, municipalities, NGOs, mobility organisations and research initiatives can collaborate with DMM through:
- pilot case development
- thematic collaborations
- panel co-organisation
- workshops and training
- joint outputs (academic and research-to-practice)
